Procurement and Logistics specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all Supply Chain activities from sourcing to payment to suppliers for all goods and services in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
  • Follow and support corporate quality system and values
  • Negotiate and establish solid strategic agreements and relations with suppliers in order to obtain the best commercial terms possible and build strong long-term partnerships
  • Provide supplier market research, prepare comprehensive bid packages, perform analyses of bid data and pricing, as well as assess supplier compliance
  • Conduct suppliers’ audits, maintain and control the list of approved suppliers in accordance with corporate quality system
  • Initiate purchase orders in accordance with ERP system requirements, confirm delivery, monitor and track supplier performance to purchase order requirements.
  • Oversee supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolve performance issues.
  • Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders and customs brokers to facilitate and track delivery, troubleshooting and communication of delivery status to the team and customers
  • Analyze procurement data, maintain accuracy of purchasing and inventory levels, ensure availability of high-demand goods
  • Expedite purchase orders to minimize lead time and improve availability
  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve customers’ issues
  • Arrange shipments to customers

Experience and education:

  • Higher degree in economics, supply chain, international trade activities or engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Procurement and Logistics, preferably in industrial area
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with ERP systems, preferably with SAP Business One.
  • Experience with goods and services suppliers, as well as indirect procurement
  • English: excellent communication skills, verbal and written (a must!)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge of Incoterms, import and export operations
  • Deep technical knowledge of procurement processes, procedures (including tendering)
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
