Features
- Valve Bodies
- Integral Kwik-Clamp and tube butt weld connections eliminate body welds and allow maximum cutback to facilitate orbital welding.
- Broad weir profile reduces diaphragm deformation.
- ASME-BPE–compliant sulfur content improves weldability.
- Comprehensive markings in accordance with ASME-BPE.
- Diaphragms
- Molded, normally open position, reinforced for strength and pressure containment.
- USP 23 Class VI and 21 CFR 177-compliant.
- Third-Party Manual Actuators
- Stainless steel housing and sanitary internal components for corrosion resistance.
- Autoclavable, can withstand washdown.
- Temperature-insulating POM-C or stainless steel materials.
- Visual indicator standard.
- Third-Party Pneumatic Actuators
- Withstand temperatures up to 302°F (150°C).
- Autoclavable, can withstand washdown
- Normally closed, normally open, and double-acting actuation modes available; actuation mode can be changed with the valve inline.
- Stainless steel, molded PPS, or molded polypropylene housing.
- Visual indicator standard
Testing
Every Swagelok DW series weir-style diaphragm valve is hydrostatically tested to 1.2 times its rated pressure and visually examined for leakage. Every Swagelok DW series valve is inboard helium leak tested to a maximum allowable leak rate of 2.5 × 10–3 std cm3/s, at the seat, envelope, and port welds, using FCI 70-2 as a guideline.
Cleaning and Packaging
All Swagelok DW series valves are cleaned and packaged in accordance with Swagelok Standard Cleaning and Packaging (SC-10).
Inspection
Third-party inspection to ASME-BPE guidelines is available.
Options
- Third-party limit switches, solenoids, positioners, and stroke limiters with manual override are available.
