With a blowout-proof, trunnion-style ball, bottom-loaded stem, and spring-loaded seat, Swagelok® 83 series and H83 series ball valves are suitable for applications up to 10 000 psig.

Testing
Every Swagelok trunnion ball valve is factory tested with nitrogen at 1000 psig (69 bar). Seats have a maximum allowable leak rate of 0.1 std cm³/min. Shell testing is performed to a requirement of no detectable leakage with a liquid leak detector.

Cleaning and Packaging
All Swagelok trunnion ball valves are cleaning and packaged in accordance with Swagelok Standard Cleaning and Packaging (SC-10). Cleaning and packaging in accordance with Swagelok Special Cleaning and Packaging (SC-11) is available.

Certifications and Approvals
Stainless steel 83 series 2-way and 3-way trunnion ball valves with PEEK seats and Buna C seals are available with ECE R110-type approval for use in alternative fuel service.
