Certifications and Compliance
Swagelok quality systems and products are internationally recognized. The company has been audited and certified as meeting the full requirements of ISO 9001, including design, manufacture, inspection, customer service, and distribution functions.
We have earned additional recognition, approval, and certifications from TÜV (Germany), ASME Quality System Certificate for nuclear safety-related applications (U.S.A.), METI/KHK (Japan), and many more.
Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive
European Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS) restricts the presence of specified hazardous substances in certain electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU market after July 1, 2006. The restricted substances are lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
Swagelok is aware of the environmental concerns associated with the substances covered by the RoHS directive, and has already reduced or eliminated these substances from many Swagelok products. A dedicated project team is currently evaluating all product lines, and as necessary will identify replacements for those substances restricted by the RoHS Directive. Questions regarding the RoHS status of specific Swagelok products can be directed to your local authorized sales and service center. |
