Swagelok® TF Series Filters Reduce Power Plant Labor and Maintenance Costs

General-Service FiltersThe Problem: Technicians at a 1000-megawatt power plant needed to remove filter bodies twice a year to replace filter elements used in testing the PH levels of water produced by steam coming out of each turbine. The effort required a significant expenditure of time and money to complete.

The Swagelok Solution: Swagelok sales and service representatives demonstrated Swagelok® TF series tee-type filters, which do not require removal of the filter body to change the elements.

The Benefit: The power plant installed Swagelok TF series filters in all its sampling systems and realized cost savings during the first scheduled replacement of filter elements. Because technicians no longer have to remove the entire body to replace the elements, they perform their tasks much quicker. This translates into reduced labor and maintenance costs.
