Since our founding in 1947 by Fred A. Lennon (1905-1998), Swagelok has emphasized innovative design, reliable performance and the diligent manufacture of quality fluid system components. Our products are distributed globally through a network of exclusive, authorized sales and service centers dedicated to unfailing high standards of customer support.
Products That Evolve With Technology
Through the early years, the company's core product line, the Swagelok® tube fitting, was expanded to include tees, elbows, reducers, thermocouple connectors, quick-connects, and other fitting products in a wide range of materials.
In 1957, responding to utility needs of nuclear power applications, we developed all-metal packless valves for leak-tight, flow control and containment of nuclear-process related fluids. Today, these technologies support a range of high-purity fluid applications in semiconductor, chemical, power, pharmaceutical, and other industries.
With the 2001 acquisition of Jensen Fittings Corporation, a manufacturer of high-quality sanitary fittings, we expanded our offering to meet the growing needs of the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.
International Strength
Swagelok has operated internationally since 1954, with the greatest period of geographic expansion beginning in the late 1960s and continuing through the 1980s. As US-based OEM, instrumentation, power, oil, and technology companies expanded into international operations, their specifications created demand for Swagelok products around the world.
Swagelok responded by opening major regional distribution centers in Switzerland and Japan, while expanding its global manufacturing capabilities. In addition, Swagelok's global network of authorized sales and service centers continued to expand.
In 1998, Swagelok combined the resources of its five product companies — Swagelok, Cajon, Whitey, Nupro, and Sno-Trik — under the Swagelok brand name. With the establishment of sales and service centers in Chile, Argentina, India, Israel, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Vietnam, and the Philippines, the company now offers full-service customer distribution and support services at more than 200 locations on six continents.
With the 2003 acquisition of Kenmac Limited, we added the strength of this U.K.-based manufacturer of instrumentation valves and manifolds, pressure regulators, process interface valves and piping products to our offering.
eCommerce Solutions
In 2000, the Swagelok Products eStore, an award-winning e-commerce architecture that supports local customization, currency, and pricing, was launched through every authorized sales and service center. Today, Swagelok supports one of the world's largest industrial distribution and sales networks.
