Poppet and Lift Check Valves

Check Valves

Swagelok® offers a broad line of adjustable and fixed cracking pressure check valves to control back flow in general-service and high-purity applications.

Check valves:

  • Are designed to allow fluids to flow in one direction only
  • Are rated for use in medium- and high-pressure applications

Spring and Poppet Check Valves (C, CA, CH, CP, and CPA Series)

Spring-and-poppet check valves are available with nominal cracking pressures ranging from 1/3 to 600 psi (0.03 to 41.4 bar) in 316 stainless steel and brass and with end connections 1/8 to 1 in. and 6 to 25 mm in size.

Check Valves (IPT Series)

Ball-seal poppet, soft-seal poppet or dual-seal ball check valves are available with working pressures up to 60 000 psig (4134 bar) and a nominal cracking pressure of 15 psi (1.0 bar) in 316 stainless steel with end connections 1/4 to 1 in. in size. These valves are available for sour gas applications with materials selected in accordance with NACE MR0175/ISO15156.

Lift Check Valves (50 Series)

Lift check valves limit reverse flow  - forward flow lifts the poppet, opening the valve. Reverse flow seats the poppet against the orifice, closing the valve. The lift check valve is gravity assisted and must be mounted horizontally, with bonnet nut on top.

All-Welded, High-Purity Check Valves (CW Series)

The CW series high-purity check valve is designed for clean operation and reliable fluid containment.

Temperature –10 to 400°F (–23 to 204°C)
Body Material 316L stainless steel
Cracking Pressure Less than 2 psi (0.14 bar)
Maximum Back Pressure Full pressure rating

UHP Check Valves, O-Ring-Free Polymer (CHP Series)

CHP series UHP fluoropolymer check valves provide low cracking and reseal pressure and contain wetted components that meet SEMI Standard F57-0301 for ultrahigh-purity system components.
