Throughout Swagelok’s history, we have strategically invested in “One Swagelok” from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing to providing localized service through our sales and service centers as we strive for operational excellence. We are focused on the goal of Zero Customer Disappointments. We drive quality improvement through consistent implementation of the Swagelok Quality System (SQS) in all of our facilities and our sales and service centers, supply chain control, process excellence and lean manufacturing, as well as our Voice of the Customer program.

As a manufacturer, forecasting and planning are critical to our everyday operations. Our current processes ensure we have the right materials and people available at the right time and in the right place so that our standard products and parts are in stock locally when and where our customers need them.

We consistently invest in capital equipment and technology in our facilities around the world to create state-of-the-art plants, research and development labs, and technical centers. In addition, we have implemented a corporate-wide Foundational Lean program to maximize our manufacturing efficiency and it has delivered impressive results:

• More than 3,000 associate ideas collected annually
• 700,000 hours of “freed up” labor
• $100 million in capital avoidance
• 80 percent reduction in set-up time
• 50 percent improvement in scrap and rework
