Thread Identification Seminar
The many standards that are used to identify threads and end connections can be confusing. Improper identification of threads can lead to increased costs; in assembly, downtime and procurement. Even experienced workers sometimes have difficulty identifying threads, regardless of their thread identification procedure and the quality of their gauges.
This seminar encompasses hands-on training and teaches step-by-step identification procedures for a variety of threads and end connections. Each attendee will receive a thread identification guidebook.
The Thread Identification Seminar can be given at your site during a scheduled shutdown or safety meeting, or at our facility. We will provide all of the materials. The class is typically 1-2 hours in length, and can be customized to meet your needs.
The Thread Identification Seminar will cover:
Introduction to Thread End Connection Terminology
Tapered vs. Straight Threads
Measuring Thread diameters
Thread Pitch
Thread Standard
Seat Angle
Use of Tables to Locate End Connections
Thread Identification Tools
Thread Sealants and Lubricants
