Result: The use of the Swagelok Welding System allowed the contractor to increase welding output to almost 80 welds per day. Swagelok also provided specially configured fittings, saving the contractor valuable time while on the job.

Products: Swagelok Micro-Fit® Weld Fittings and Swagelok VCR® Metal Gasket Face Seal Fittings
Result: Swagelok Micro-Fit weld fittings allowed our customer the ability to reduce the overall footprint of their system. The cleanliness level of the Micro-Fit weld fittings was also a determining factor in the decision to use these products. Swagelok VCR metal gasket face seal fittings offered the customer proven reliability. In addition, zero-clearance connections allowed easy component removal. All connections were installed with the Swagelok Welding System.

Result: Swagelok thermocouple fittings are used to relay temperature and pressure of gases back to the control room. This information is critical to the everyday operation of the plant.

Result: Field threading can produce threads of widely varying quality and finish along with high scrap rates. Assembling tapered pipe threads means turning a length of pipe or an entire fitting, making alignment haphazard and time consuming. In addition, a sealed pipe joint subject to vibration as well as temperature and pressure extremes may begin to leak after a period of time.
Swagelok tube fittings are routinely installed in half the time as piping systems, allowing for the use of fewer connections and therefore fewer potential leak points.

Result: Customer used carbon steel Swagelok tube fittings on hydraulic lines. The engineer wanted the ability to maintain flow without installing elbows.

Result: Equipment manufacturer had reoccurring problems with black pipe leaking on high pressure hydraulic lines. Swagelok tube fittings were installed using a Swagelok Hydraulic Swaging Unit (HSU). This tubing system was installed in half the time it took to install the black pipe.

Result: This research facility used Swagelok tube fittings to install a small bore system using copper tubing. The installation time was significantly reduced, and the elimination of contamination associated with a soldered system afforded them the cleanliness they desired.

Result: Performing onsite HSU training assured the customer safe, reliable installation of this helium application. With over forty stainless steel 1" Swagelok connections and thirty stainless steel 1/2" Swagelok connections, not one leak was found when tested at over 2500 psi, over-night. The customer also verfied that that the system operated over 3000 psi with no known leak.
